ITA | Le arche scaligere, situate nel cuore del centro storico di Verona, a fianco della chiesa di Santa Maria Antica e a pochi metri dalla piazza dei Signori, sono un monumentale complesso in stile gotico della famiglia degli Scaligeri, destinate a contenere le arche di alcuni illustri rappresentanti della casata, tra cui quella del più grande Signore di Verona, Cangrande, a cui Dante dedicò il Paradiso.

ENG | The funerary monument “Arche Scaligere,” located in the heart of Verona city centre, next to Santa Maria Antica’s church and just a few steps from the Scaliger Palaces, are a majestic monumental complex in gothic style commemorating Della Scala’s dinasty. They host the mortal remains of the most prominent Della Scala’s family representatives, amongst them Cangrande, the greatest Lord of Verona, a noted patron of arts to whom Dante dedicated the Paradise, Canto XVII of the Divine Comedy.
